About Me

Is reading and/or writing a struggle for you or your child?

Welcome!

I am a highly qualified educator with over 25 years working as a learning specialist in both public schools in the US and International Schools in Asia. I passionately believe everyone has the ability to improve reading and writing skills and embrace all that literacy has to offer.

I teach both adults and children using a multi-sensory, structured language method in line with an Orton-Gillingham approach, which has been proven to be extremely successful. I also use the Structured Word Inquiry approach. Both have been proven to be extremely effective in improving reading and writing skills in students of all ages and abilities.

How It Works

Tutoring

In order to be successful, each program is developed after consultations with parents and both informal and formal assessments have been performed.

An individualized plan with identified goals is customized according to the student's needs.

  • One-to-one live sessions

  • Choice of in-person (Bangkok) or online

  • 30 minute or 1-hour sessions

Assessments

Are you at risk of Dyslexia? Assessments can provide a profile of strengths and challenges, starting points for intervention, and aid parents and teachers in developing appropriate interventions.

Assessments may be attached to tutoring sessions or may be performed separately.

School Support

At times, it may be difficult for schools to provide the individual, unique support that a child needs, for a variety of reasons. If you are a school needing a specialist for a particular student, I am available for on-campus support.

I am also available to provide Professional Development for individuals or groups of teachers.

What Happy

Students &

Parents Say

"Stella has been a great and caring teacher for my son -- He was taught between age 8 and 10 years old.  Stella had a magical way of providing a safe comfortable learning environment to a shy and not so confident little boy. For me as a parent, Stella was the best teacher I have ever come across in providing regular and detailed feedback and updates."
